Living a healthy Lifestyle: YOLO!!!

For those that dont know, i recently got married and went on a honeymoon for 7 days. I intially told myself a few months out i was giong to stick to some kind of structured eating with seafoods fruits/veggies, etc. That lasted about 2 days before i realized heh truth. You only live once!! I have worked so hard these past 2 years living a healthy lifestyle that i deserve a break and should enjoy myself no matter what. I won't go into too many details, but lets just say i ate approximately 2-3x more calories per day that i would normally eat and with little to no exercise. I ate so bad that my coaches should disown me!! If i had to make a guess - i would have put myself maybe 5-8lbs heavier at least. I woke up the day after my honeymoon vacation 1lb lighter than before i left!! Logically, i dont really know how to explain this other than the fact that when you train your body to be a calorie burning machine via exercse and good nutrition it doesn't matter what curves balls you throw it's way - your metabolism will do the work. A big shoutout goes to all of you out there that go out of your way to live a healthy lifestyle; dont ever stress or feel bad for taking a day or two off to enjoy yourselves. Those few meals you eat will not make or break the dedication and discipline you have spent a lifetime creating for yourself to succeed.

You deserve it!

BB: Training/Nutrition Update

Nutrition:

Training Days
Protein: 265g
Carbs: 335g
Fats: 65g

Non-Training Days
Protein: 275g
Carbs: 265g
Fats: 70g

My caloric intake is back up to 3000+ on training days and about 2800 on non training days. We did a 4 week mini cut and the body's response to the added calories have been great! I'm still eating 6-7 meals a day depending on how long of a day it is. My original plan calls for 6 meals + Intraworkout shake but if i am going to an activity that has me staying up later than im used to i always bring an extra meal just in case. I have had a few extra meals here and there but have seen no negative effects. The results  i want via mirror/scale always come by the end of the week!

Training:

My lifting has remained pretty much the same with the exception of no direct leg training for a 2 week period in august. I tweaked my LCL somehow while performing smith machine front squats but everything is better now.

Im' looking foward to taking a week off of training during my honeymoon and enjoy some fresh seafood, fruits and veggies. I aint gonna lie - i'm definitely looking forward to having meals prepared for me without the use of a digital scale. It's time to sit back, relax and enjoy some quality time with my future wife.

Take care and God bless!!

6 Days out from my Biggest Competition to Date!!

I have been prepping over 18 months for this show and it's finally here!!

The show = My wedding. ;p

When the wedding was a few months out, everyone was asking me if i am excited about the wedding and my answer was always the same - " Yes I'm looking forward to the wedding, but i'm not as excited as most grooms as Tina and i have been living together for almost 3 years; It feels as though we are already married." That being said - i'm definitely looking forward to finishing a stage in my life and starting a new one. I have been looking forward to starting a family for quite some time. All of my close friends have kids ranging from 1 month old to 7 years old so spending time aroudn them definitely makes me even more excited to have one of my own.

I will say that as i have gotten closer to the wedding day, I have definitely got more excited than i thought i ever would have. Not really so much for myself, but for Tina. Since we got engaged, we knew from the beginning that we were going to need about 16-18 months to save up for the wedding as we were taking care of all the finances. The fact that we met our goal with so many car issues, medical bills, stress and other personal issues we definitely feel a big sense of accomplishment. Tina has been the one making the majority of the decisions for the wedding ( not because i'm lazy, i'm just a simple guy - if it's realistic, i'm all for it!) so  it will be to have a nice long honeymoon with her and away from all the stress in our lives. Lord knows she deserves it and much more!

We will be spending  our honey moon at the Punta Cana Resort & Club in the Dominican Republic!

Last but not least, I would like to thank everyone for all of their support in helping Tina and I prepare for the wedding. We couldn't have done it without you!
